I have some good news for you. I had a couple of days to relax and my shoulder is feeling much better. So I have a good feeling, that I will be ready for my next tournament in Washington.

A lot of people asked me about my tournament schedule. I will be playing in Washington, Toronto, Cincinnati and then the US Open. I can't wait to get back on the court and play the tournaments in the US!

I arrived safely in Washington and already had a couple of good practices here.

The draw is out and I will be playing my first round against Stefanie Voegele from Switzerland.

I won't be playing before monday, so I will have some more days to get used to the heat and humidity and maybe get some time to explore the city.

I started my US Hardcourt season with a win. I beat Stefanie Voegele 6:2 6:2.

Tomorrow I am playing my second round at 2 o'clock on center court against my countrywoman Andrea Petkovic.

I am also going to play doubles tomorrow with Alize Cornet ( second round after 4o'clock).

The tournament in Washington just ended for me. I wasn't able to win against Andrea, she was playing too good today. All the credit to her... But I will learn from that and will be working really hard for my next tournament in Montreal.

I am in Toronto right now for my next tournament. But so far, things could have gone better. My plane was delayed, my suitcase got broken and today in practice I twisted my ankle. But luckily nothing serious happened and I will be ready for my match tomorrow against Jie Zheng. Hopefully the luck will be on my side

What a match today! But I am really happy I could get through it. There had been a lot of ups and downs, but after 2:30 hours I was finally able to win 6:7 6:3 7:6. Thank you for all your support! It means a lot to me.

After an early morning practice, I was able to visit a little bit of Toronto. I went up to the CN Tower, one of the highest buildings in the world. You have an amazing view over the city!

Tomorrow it is back to business. I will play my second round match against world number 15 Sloane Stephens. I never played her before, but I am really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately I lost a tough three set match to Sloane Stephens today. A little bit disappointed, but overall I played a good match and I am looking positive to my next tournament in Cincinnati.

My next tournament is close to start! I will be playing my first match of the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati against Lucy Safarova on Tuesday. So I will have one more day of practice to get ready. Feeling good and excited for my next match!

Mona blickt nach vorn. Ganz was neues:

Won my first round 6:3 6:4 against Lucie Safarova today. It is never easy playing against her, because she is such an aggressive player. But happy, I could win in straight sets.
I am playing Maria Kirilenko in my next round. Never played her before, but excited for tomorrow. Wish me luck, so I can get another Top 20 win and maybe a match against Serena Williams

Kann sie Williams bezwingen ? Ganz chancenlos hört sich das in jedem Falle nicht an:

Another Top 20 win for me! I won 6:4 6:4 against Maria Kirilenko today. I struggled a little bit in the end to close it out, but happy I won in two sets.

Tomorrow I will be playing against world number 1 Serena Williams (not before 9pm on center court). I never played her before, but I am so excited about this! Can't wait for the match to start

Unfortunately I couldn't challenge Serena more. I lost the match 6:4 6:1. But it was an amazing experience playing against her for the first time. I will take all the positives from that match and I will learn a lot from it for the future!

Thank you Cincinnati for the amazing stay here and I am looking forward coming back here next year

Up next for me the US Open!!!

Hello from New York! I love coming to this city, it's so special and unique.

This year I decided not to play a tournament the week before the US Open, so I have more time to prepare and get ready for my first match.

They made the draw today and I will play Johanna Larsson from Sweden in my first round. We played three times (Auckland 2013/ Copenhagen 2012 and Bundesliga 2011) and I won all of them. I will do everything that this streak doesn't change

Wow! This is definitely one of the most amazing views I have ever seen and I wanted to share it with you

Back to the tennis: I will play my first round of the US Open on tuesday.

I am also going to play doubles with Liga Dekmejere. We are facing Alexandra Dulgheru and Eva Hrdinova in the first round.

Happy with my win today I beat Johanna Larsson 6:1 6:4 today. On thursday I will play my second round against American Alison Riske.

Tomorrow I am playing doubles second after 11 am. Looking forward to that.

Offline

A little bit disappointed I couldn't get further in this US Open, but Alison played a really good match.

I am still playing doubles here and our next match will be against Jelena Jankovic and Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.

Thanks for all your nice messages and support

Unfortunately I don't have good news. In practice I got injured in my shoulder. I had some problems with it for a couple of month now. So it is time for me to rest. I hope I will have a quick recovery and I can start my preperation for the next season as soon as possible.
Will keep you updated...

It was a good Australian Open for me. I'm happy I reached the third round at a major again and a little bit sad I couldn't take my chances in my last match.
My next tournament is in Paris and I am really looking to competing there again.

Hey! I have some news I would like to share with you.
I stopped working with my coach Maik Schürbesmann. We had been working together for 8 years and I would like to thank him for all his support and help he gave me over the years. But I think it is time for me to try out something new.

I am in Indian Wells right now preparing for the tournament. Here with me is Nic Marschand, who will be helping me in Indian Wells and Miami.
Talk to you soon, Mona.

Thank you Denise Cronwall Activewear for sending me these beautiful clothes! I can't wait to wear them tomorrow in my match against Francesca Schiavone.
